Oikos Books is a private bookkeeping workspace operated by Oikos Property Ventures for its own business records and the related business books managed by its authorized operator. This notice supplements our Privacy Policy. Oikos Books is not a public banking, lending, investment, or bill-payment service.
When an authorized account holder connects a financial account, Oikos Books may receive account identifiers, institution details, balances, and transaction dates, descriptions, amounts, and status. Availability depends on the institution and the permissions granted.
We use this information for transaction imports, classification, payment matching, reconciliation, supporting-document review, and accounting reports. The connection does not authorize Oikos Books to move money or pay bills. Only accounts the account holder owns or is authorized to connect may be linked. Permission to make purchases on an owner's card is not permission to connect its bank feed.
Stripe Financial Connections provides the account-linking service. Please review Stripe's Privacy Policy and Consumer Terms, including its separate data practices.
Access is limited to authorized people and the service providers needed to operate, secure, back up, and support the bookkeeping workspace. We do not sell connected financial data and do not use it for advertising, marketing profiles, underwriting, or credit decisions. Connected data is not shared with other third parties for their own purposes. We may disclose information when legally required.
The workspace uses restricted access and encrypted storage and connections, and connected financial data is stored in the United States. No system can guarantee absolute security. Oikos Books does not collect or store online-banking passwords.
We retain records needed for accounting, legitimate business operations, and applicable recordkeeping requirements. Disconnecting an account stops future collection through that connection; it does not automatically erase accounting records already imported or cancel any separate payment authorization.
